Introducing... Mark Timothy!

All it took was word that his big brothers were back at school this week.  Finally, he figured, maybe I'll get a little more one-on-one time if I come now.  And come he did!

Mark Timothy was born at 2:25 this afternoon, after a very short but grueling labor.  He weighed in at a whopping 8 lb. 13 oz. and measured 20 inches long, so we're glad he didn't wait much longer!  Mark came out silent and blue, hung up on a rather short umbilical cord wrapped tightly around his neck.  But with a little Mommy love and some oxygen he perked up quickly!  He already had a chance to meet his pediatrician, who assured us that his heart sounds normal and all other systems seem to be quite healthy.  Thank you, God.

All of Baby Mark's older brothers had a chance to meet him, and are so proud and excited I'm afraid they are having trouble falling asleep tonight.  And Little Zachy is now a big brother!  This morning he woke up and asked me, "Mommy, how we gonna get that baby out?  We gonna push him out?  I'll push that baby out!"  I should have taken that as the first clue that something was up.

We feel blessed to welcome another little BOY, safe and sound, into our family.  Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes.  Here's just a sneak peek of many more photos to come:

Could Zachy get any prouder?

Surgeon Sammy got to trim baby brother's cord... with a little trepidation!
