15 Months?! No Way!

It just doesn't seem right that my baby Zach is already 15 months old!  He is turning into such a little boy before our eyes, but he still loves to snuggle like a baby.

This winter, so far, we have been very lucky with his health.  He came down with a cold the other day, but he's not letting it slow him down.  I have heard that RSV is pretty bad here, with the hospitals in overflow, but fortunately Zachary didn't end up there.  Just the other night he received his monthly Synagis injections (for RSV,) and it proved to be the most traumatic yet.  Once his home-visiting nurse stepped through our front door, Zachary started crying and clinging to me.  He recognized her and knew why she had come!  Once the shots are over, however, he does pretty well.  I don't think that they must burn much or stay too sore, because by the time the nurse left he was smiling to her and waving "bye-bye."  Sweet baby!

Zachy is still not walking, but he is getting closer and building strength every day.  He is a proficient "cruiser" and will push anything from his highchair to a bar stool clear across the kitchen.  He understands "walk" and thinks he deserves cheering when he lets go of the couch to stand on his own, then leans and falls into your arms!  Silly boy!  He tries to help me load the dishwasher and rearrange the cabinets and drawers.

And as a growing boy, he knows how important it is to carry toys around.  So his newest trick is scooting on his bottom to free up his hands.

Zachary loves the recent spring-like days and wants to get out there with his big brothers.  So yesterday he was tickled to be out on the deck while I was fixing dinner.  He doesn't use his Exersaucer much anymore; just when I need him to stay put (like when I need a shower!)

He'll soon be running circles around all these boys!
Joseph is teaching Sammy the perfect cast for the upcoming fishin' season!

Maybe you'll catch one from up there, Sammy!

We thank God every day for our Miracle Boy and are grateful for these fifteen wonderful months He has given us with Zachary.
